In addition to consistently featuring Pittsburgh's most active new music artists, Alia Musica has partnered with composers and performers of national and international renown, since the inauguration of its Conductors Festival with Cliff Colnot in 2011, sharing stages with names of the stature of Tony Arnold, Robert Dick, and Frederic Rzewski, among others. Current and prospective collaborations include composers Carlos Sanchez-Gutierrez and Ken Ueno.

Past collaborations with other ensembles and organizations include New York's Varispeed, thingNY, and Random Access Music; Chicago's ACM; the Dallas Festival of Modern Music; Arabesque Winds; Freya String Quartet; percussion group Clocks in Motion; and Houston's violin and viola duo Scordatura.
